It is not too surprising that it would happen somewhere in California in any given day, but yesterday’s 2011 Great California ShakeOut earthquake drill was punctuated with a few minor quakes yesterday around the Berkeley area. No injuries and only minor damage was reported.
Some 1.3 million people reportedly participated in the Bay area. Something to think about as the Puget Sound region prepares for our Evergreen Quake exercise next June…
Note that the Shake out site has a wide variety of resources available (including group specific fliers such as this CERT brochure) that might be pre-purposed in Washington’s Shakeout next June.
