VISDCommunityDinner(1Dec11)Here’s a reminder to attend the December 1st Community Dinner at the Vashon High School Common Room, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM.

This month’s theme will be energy conservation, emergency preparedness and how to access and use the wonderful resources on this island to help in the event of an emergency. PSE will be handing out Take Winter by Storm ice scrapers, CFL bulbs, and low flow showerheads.

Donna Donnelly has provided the following savory winter menu for our event:

Two Hearty Soups

Fresh Bread

Winter greens and roasted beet salad

Hungarian apricot shortbread bars

$10 per person donation supports the Vashon Island Schools District’s meals program.

Organized by Puget Sound Energy’s Community Services Manager, Patricia L. McClements, the event is also sponsored by VashonBePrepared, Voice of Vashon, Puget Sound Community Credit Union, and WisEnergy Vashon.
