Cris Currie

Cris is a retired RN who has lived in Spokane since 1979.  Originally, he worked at Sacred Heart Medical Center in intensive and intermediate cardiac care. After a career change to mediation, he spent 13 years as a home health nurse before retiring early at the end of 2015.

Since then, Cris has been volunteering with Health Care for All-WA, participating on its policy committee to promote single-payer, universal healthcare at both the state and national levels.  He has followed the work of Washington’s Universal Health Care Commission very closely and has written an eBook called A Medicare for All Q & A that he updates frequently, and that is available for free download at hcfawa.org/resources.
